Challenging ourselves

Hello everyone,

Today in Skip2BeFit with Dave we practiced our skipping even more. After the first two minutes, we looked at our score and then it became our challenge to beat that score in the second two minutes! We pushed ourselves to the limit and were soooooooo exhausted afterwards, but it was worth it because we ALL managed to beat our score and are feeling super positive for the rest of the day! Thanks Dave!

KeySteps

Hello everyone!

Yesterday, Emily, Elizabeth, Pippa and Lexi from Hazel Class went to Thirsk High School for a gymnastics competition. They worked so hard to practice and remember the routine and were such role models at representing the school. Well done girls, you did Knayton proud!

Shared writing

Hello everyone,

Look how hard we are working with our writing partners! We are planning a poem to go with a piece of music written by Camille Saint-Saëns. We have worked together so beautifully to write statement sentences about our chosen animal. Miss Harrison is overwhelmed with the brilliant sentences we ave written together. Here’s a few of them:

Starting as we mean to go on!

Hello everyone,

Take a look at us working our socks off this morning in maths where we started a new piece of learning on money! Today we worked with pence and pounds and found out how to write their symbols.

We took part in a carousel of activities: counting piles of money, drawing and labelling coins and purchasing items as the knayton corner shop! Miss Harrison was so impressed to see that we had remembered all our learning from before Christmas on 2 digit addition and subtraction and were able to use this to work out things like change and the total cost of groups of items. ALL ON THE FIRST DAY BACK! Wow Hazel Class!
