Dodgeball frenzy!

Due to the bad weather today, we had to do PE inside. We were disappointed at first because we love football with JD, but once we found out we would be playing dodgeball instead we were so happy and excited!

Georgia was the champion of the warm up game and won 6 house points. Our communication with our teammates during the game was exceptional and Miss Harrison was so impressed with our encouragement, tactics and resilience!

Well done Hazel!

Creative construction

Hello everyone!

We have had some very creative construction  this week. Here’s a preview of a few of them, including the first ever car, the Tower of London and a tractor carrying some gunpowder (of course)!

We have evaluated our designs and since made improvements to them. We are very proud.

Wow, what a busy afternoon!

Hello everyone.

We have had such a busy afternoon on our learning adventure!

We began by going outside and creating a giant timeline of significant events. We had to put the dates in order all by ourselves! We even worked out that the gaps between the events represented the amount of time that passed. After this, we went back inside and learnt all about the Great Fire of London.

During our Learning Journey, we did lots of exciting learning. We learnt to write with feather quills and ink, researched the Great Fire on the iPads and painted beautiful firey pictures.

We, of course, played in our Pudding Lane Bakery, ensuring we put out the oven when we were finished to avoid a repeat in history!!!

Can we prove he did it?

Hello everyone,

This week in our learning journey, we are looking at the question ‘Can we prove he did it?. We will be examining lots of different pieces of evidence, to eventually come to a verdict on Guy Fawkes’ role in the Gunpowder Plot.

We began with a letter received by Lord Monteagle on the 26th October 1605. It was this letter led to the arrest of Guy Fawkes in the cellar underneath the House of Lords.

We scrutinised the content (and gave constructive feedback on the handwriting) and decided whether we thought it was significant enough to convict him of his crimes.

Stay tuned for more on Guy Fawkes’ trial!
